Slow Cooker Turkey

  • Ingredients:
    • 1 (4-6 pound) turkey
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
    • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 onion, sliced
    • 1 cup chicken broth or stock
  • Instructions:
    1. Season Turkey: Season the turkey breast generously with salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, and garlic powder.
    2. Prepare Slow Cooker: Place the sliced onion in the bottom of the slow cooker. Pour in the chicken broth.
    3. Add Turkey: Place the turkey breast on top of the onions.
    4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
    5. Rest and Serve: Remove the turkey breast and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. You can use the cooking liquid to make a gravy if desired.
