A very dramatic transformation to my Asparagus fern bonsai today!
I’m also using soil from “The Bonsai Supply” for the first time, a big day for this 30 year old plant!
Asparagus densiflorus ‘Sprengeri’ is not a true fern, but a member of the lily family (Liliaceae).
It is native from Mozambique to South Africa.
It is grown elsewhere as an ornamental plant but has become an invasive species in several locations where it has been introduced.
