First Repotting of My BIG Chinese Elm Bonsai (Spring, 2019)

I repot my big old Chinese Elm bonsai for the first time. I choose the best front and planting angle, eventually bare root the tree and aim to get it into it’s first bonsai pot.

This operation is all about setting the bonsai tree up for it’s future design. Selecting the front and planting angle of the tree plays a HUGE role in the design of the tree.

With a strong, healthy tree, we can confidently, carefully bare root it during repotting. Join me as I carry out this first work of this big Chinese Elm bonsai.
